How to download AncestryDNA raw data
Get your raw genetic data from Ancestry.
Steps
- Sign in at ancestry.com.
- Click DNA (top nav) → Your DNA Results Summary.
- Click Settings (top right of the page).
- Scroll to Download your raw DNA data.
- Enter your password; Ancestry emails a download link.
- The download is a .zip — keep it zipped; Vogelview reads it natively.
Upload
Upload page → drag the .zip in. We auto-detect the format.
Notes
- Ancestry files include ~700,000 SNPs at last generation.
- They use a slightly different position reference than 23andMe; our parser normalizes both.
