How to read your Vogelview report
Triage tiers, evidence levels, and what each section means.
The triage dashboard
Findings are sorted into four buckets so you don't have to read every card:
- Urgent — high-impact findings that warrant a clinical conversation soon. Pathogenic genetic variants and critical lab values land here.
- Attention — meaningfully abnormal; review with your physician at your next visit.
- Watch — borderline or trending; retest in 8–12 weeks.
- Clear — within healthy range or low-risk.
Evidence levels
Each finding carries an evidence badge:
- Established — multiple large studies + clinical guidelines agree.
- Moderate — replicated in independent cohorts.
- Preliminary — early research suggests but not yet replicated.
- Emerging — interesting signal in 1–2 studies.
By default the report shows established + moderate findings. Toggle "Show all" to see preliminary/emerging — they're labelled so you can weight them appropriately.
Quote → Meaning → Impact
Every finding follows the same structure:
- Quote — the exact scientific result (e.g. "CYP1A2 slow metabolizer").
- Meaning — plain-English translation.
- Impact — what this means for your day-to-day life.
Citations
Every genetic finding cites PubMed IDs you can verify on pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.
